Summary This is a 4 slice digital toaster. Unfortunately, it seems that they have a quality control or design issue with this particular model. That is unusual for this brand, but I guess any company can make a dud on occasion. Seems like one side or the other stops working on these toasters within a short time (couple of months) of using them. I would recommend looking at some of the other models from Hamilton Beach. In particular, the Hamilton Beach 4 Slice 24504 Toaster. It is the same price, and works great. The vast majority of them work perfectly and have no ongoing problems. Recommend you do not buy this toaster.
